Photocopy Photoshop Action

With the Photocopy Photoshop Action you can easily get a realistic photocopied effect with a single click of the mouse. Simply open your image and run the action. A perfect and easy to use action to give a photocopy look to your graphics. When the action finish, you can change and adjust 3 different photocopy textures as well to make multiple adjustments to the lights, shadows and midtones, and if you are an intermediate or advanced Photoshop user you can also make multiple adjustments to any of the layers to achieve different looks or to fine tune the end result.

How to install (action):

  1. Open Photoshop.
  2. In the Actions Panel click on the top right icon and from the dropdown menu select "Load Actions".
  3. Locate the "WeGraphics - Photocopy.atn" file and click on Load.

How to install (patterns):

  1. Open Photoshop.
  2. Go to Edit > Presets > Preset Manager.
  3. From the dropdown select "Patterns" and click on Load.
  4. Locate the "Photocopy Patterns.pat" file and click Load.

How to use:

  1. Open your image in Photoshop. Be sure that is set as the background (if not, go to Layer > New > Background from Layer).
  2. In the Actions Panel expand the "WeGraphics - Photocopy" action container.
  3. Select the "Photocopy" action and click on the play button.

Notes (for a perfect end result):

  • Open a document with a minimun size of 2500 x 2500 px (your design could be smaller, but the artboard should meet this minimun size).
  • For better results use images with medium to high contrast.
